Blue Water, White Death
Wednesday, July 30: 5:30 - 9:30 p.m.
For
toothsome, edge-of-your-seat Shark Week fun, see the
classic documentary “Blue Water, White Death,” the
first underwater film about the hunt for great white
sharks that inspired Peter Benchley to write his thriller “Jaws.” Underwater
filmmaker and shark expert Nick Caloyianis will introduce
the film with stories about pioneer director, Peter
Gimbal and this dramatic expedition.
Before
the film, visit Ocean Journey from 5:30-7 and have
a souvenir photo made inside the actual shark cage
used in the movie! A casual reception will
follow this special screening. Meet Nick Caloyianis
who will sign copies of his new book, “The Shark
Handbook” available for purchase along with the
DVD “Blue Water, White Death.”
Event
fee includes special screening, souvenir photo,
Ocean Journey admission & reception.
