VISIT
DURING OFF-PEAK HOURS:

summer hours. To avoid crowds, and see early-morning animal
behaviors, we recommend that you start your tour early in
the day.
Your Tennessee Aquarium experience, which will take at least
two hours, and includes admission to two buildings: River
Journey and Ocean Journey. Your tickets are good all day,
so feel free to catch
a bite or sneak a peek at an IMAX
3D film between buildings. When scheduling your visit
or IMAX film time, remember Chattanooga is in the Eastern
Time Zone.
All exhibit galleries are fully accessible, and wheelchairs
are available free of charge. Strollers are permitted on most
days, and back packs are free for toddlers.
BEHIND
THE SCENES TOURS:
Daily, 3 - 4:15 p.m. Go behind
the scenes to see the inner workings of the Tennessee
Aquarium. Explore the fascinating pump room, the control room
that operates the Aquarium's life support system, food prep
and back-up areas. To reserve a space, call 423-265-0698 to
make a reservation Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:45
PM.

FISHY
PHOTOS:
The Aquarium
is a great place for pictures, but be careful of the reflections
off the glass. For capturing those memories, move in close
to your subject and keep your flash at a 45-degree angle to
the glass. Kodak 400 ASA speed film is recommended and available
in our gift shop.
GROUP
DISCOUNTS:
If you're traveling with a group of 10 or more, book your
visit through our Group Sales Department and receive a discounted
price. And we now offer family packages
too!
