The River Society

Supporting the Tennessee Aquarium's Annual Fund

The River Society recognizes donors to the Tennessee Aquarium’s Annual Fund who wish to make a greater impact on our animals and programs.  We hope that you and your family and friends will visit often, to see the breadth and depth of the positive impact you’re making at the Aquarium. You will also receive invitations to events and programs created especially for the Society.

As a River Society member, you will be able to connect in a deeper way with the Aquarium’s mission working with your designated liaison, who will work closely with you to identify projects or programs of greatest interest to you and your family and friends.

Formerly known as the Contributing Member program, The River Society membership includes the highest level of access for two named adults and four guests. Please contact your liaison if you have a special circumstance related to your guest access. Unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or greater made to the Annual Fund qualify for River Society recognition. You will be recognized as a member of The River Society on the Aquarium’s Donor Wall and in all printed and digital publications.

About the Tennessee Aquarium Annual Fund

Tennessee Aquarium guests make possible the day-to-day resources necessary to care for our animals, support our team of experts, and maintain our facilities, however...

...it’s the annual support from our community that makes the Aquarium a first-class institution.

The Aquarium’s Annual Fund fuels incredible programs and innovative projects and allows us to:

  • Make a deeper impact on the students in our community, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards and future scientists
  • Empower conservation collaboration, allowing us to better understand how changes to the environment impact the well-being of all living things, including the treasures in our own backyard
  • Sustain the Aquarium, keeping the experience fresh in order to drive more than $115 million annually in economic impact for our community
