Children under 3 years of age are free to the Aquarium and IMAX Theater. 

Your Aquarium ticket is good for the whole day of purchase. Ticket purchases help support education, research and conservation programs.

A special discount is available to all active military and veterans.  Please show your military ID/DDT card at the Aquarium ticketing center to receive a discount on admission for you and everyone in your paying party. Available at Aquarium ticketing center only.

Backstage Pass - $17 

Get VIP access to feed and touch Aquarium animals. Two tours daily -- River Journey at 11:15 am and Ocean Journey at 2:30 pm. Each one takes about 45 minutes. Aquarium admission is required. Due to safety concerns, children under age 6 are not permitted. 

General Information

Your Tennessee Aquarium experience will take at least two hours, and includes admission to two buildings: River Journey and Ocean Journey. Your tickets are good all day, if you choose to grab a bite downtown or see an IMAX 3D film between buildings. When scheduling your visit or IMAX film time, remember Chattanooga is in the Eastern Time Zone. 

Aquarium tickets are sold online, at the Aquarium's ticketing center or at the IMAX box office. 

First admittance to the Aquarium is at 10 a.m. with last admittance at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Buildings close at 7:30.  The Gift Shops close at 6:30 p.m. The Aquarium and IMAX 3D Theater are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Check the IMAX Showtimes page for the movie schedule.

You may purchase tickets online anytime. ONLINE TICKETS ARE GENERAL ADMISSION ONLY. Discounted member tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 800-262-0695, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm ET, Monday through Friday. 

All exhibit galleries are fully accessible and a limited supply of wheelchairs are available to rent. The Aquarium does not have strollers available for rent.
